Ivan I first met you at Men’s prayer group in Malvern , I took a friend who I thought needed some spiritual help , little did I know how much I would gain from meeting you .

Ivan, what can I say about this precious friend of mine.
Many years and many trials and tribulations have been shared and carried together.
Ivan is all that he says he is, no masks or agendas, he has a genuine heart for people and how to inspire and motivate them to achieve their calling.
Many years ago, it was the regular annual occasion of my birthday.
Ivan was one of the guests and he presented me with a ‘handwritten’ letter detailing our friendship over the years.
I still have this letter and it has meant more to me than any of the other gifts that I received on that day.
Just a simple token of – its the thought that counts, rather than expensive gifts.

My Testimony About Ivan
When I came to Christ, I was like a newborn baby not knowing what this really meant. Ivan was someone I had known many years before but had lost contact with. I rediscovered our connection when I joined a men’s Catholic group at my parish, where he led our Bible study sessions.
My wife was Catholic, so I went to church with her. I had been baptized Catholic when I was a month old, so I had some understanding of the religion, but found it hard to understand the Bible. Seeing Ivan there made me comfortable joining the group.
Our meetings focused on reading and understanding the Bible, and applying that understanding to our lives. My main problem was not seeing how the Bible related to my own life. I would think: “What does an episode in King David’s life or what happened to his army have to do with me?” This is where Ivan succeeded. He made me realize and understand how every word of the Bible has meaning and relevance for me and everyone.
This was about six years ago, during a time of great personal difficulty in my life. I still look back at those men’s group meetings with fondness. We were usually 20 guys, and often had heated debates. I think we all learned a lot.
My faith has grown, but Ivan and those meetings were important, even essential, catalysts to that growth. I’ve especially understood how destructive our own human will can be, and now understand and desire to live by God’s Divine Will, saying “FIAT!” (as Mary did) to God’s work in our souls, and seeing God’s love guiding all events in my life.

Hi Michael, thank you for reminding me of a hilarious moment when I learnt that Fiat is not a vehicle but rather a Latin term for” Let it be done”…as with Abraham s “fiat” moment – being obedient to God, by leaving his homeland and by faith going into a land he did not know. Also being prepared to sacrifice his only son although God Had Promised him that he would become a father of many nations. My prayer is, that we will be obedient to God, when we have our “fiat” moments – to do by faith what God Wants us to do God Bless you. Ivan

Hi Ive,
What I have always marveled at, is the authenticity of the Lord our God & yet the Power of His Word which is always profoundly well timed & not even the Gates of Hell shall prevail or overcome God’s Word. It is said of you & us who are Bearers & Proclaimers of His Word, “Blessed are the Feet of Him who Bring the Good News!”
You are & have been a great inspiration & encouragement to us who are purposed to be All Out for God! From the time we met as Brothers in Christ I have really been inspired to step out in the Lord & to be “Strong & Courageous, in the Power of His Might!” When you encouraged our fellow soldiers, all those years ago while on Guard Duty in their Bunkers……. in the “dead of night” to hear songs of Worship!
Continue to be a vessel of God & stop not, being, “Be Bold & be Strong for the Lord your God is with you, wherever you may go!”
May you grow in His Grace & totally rely upon His Word being in your mouth, even upon your lips!
Thank you for certainly allowing God to use you in enriching our lives by yielding to God, allowing Him to complete the Good Work that He began you ……. as, “It is written….!”
